Part 1: Quality Questioning
What’s a Quality Question?
I will give each student an equal opportunity to answer the questions out loud
Formulating and Assessing
I would use this to show me what the students are learning outside the classroom and how they use it in the classroom on a day to day basis.
Alternate Responses
I will do hand gestures such as thumbs up and thumbs down. Thumbs up they understand and thumbs down they don't understand. This will show me if the student is engaged in the lesson or not.
Wait Time
I will ask each student a question, allow them time to ask questions about the question and then allow time to answer the question. I will respect each student's answer.
Teachers Feedback
Give appropriate feedback to keep the students actively involved. Help the students answer the questions correctly by rephrasing the prompt; I would also ensure that all the correct answer are heard by everyone. I would use a lot of discussion to keep the students involved.
